The path starts from a gazebo on the main Mezdra-Sofia road, at first it goes along a dirt road, which narrows as it leaves the hamlet and continues against the current of the Kamenitsa river. You pass through the area of Vlaovi vodenitsi, the remains of which nature has almost completely hidden. From there there is a wonderful panoramic view of the area of Rusinov del. Continuing up the ridge of the mountain, you will reach the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, built in 1492, and the village of Staro Selo. Possible options to continue your walk are: to the village of Milanovo (30 min.) or to the Parshevitsa hut (2 hours).
During your mountain journey, information boards will tell you about the history of the area and the way of life of the people who lived in these places.
The Open Vratsa platform is an initiative to create a new brand and advertising campaign for Vratsa to reveal and promote the opportunities for natural and cultural tourism in the city and the region.
