The train leaves from "Hristo Botev" Square and its final stop is at the beginning of Zgorigrad village. You'll return to "Hristo Botev" Square, where the adventure ends.
While aboard the train, you'll have the opportunity to discover the city center and venture into the heart of the mountain, reaching Zgorigrad village, the starting point for numerous hiking trails. The train route passes through the iconic "Vratsata" Pass and can make a stop near the picnic area.
WHERE CAN I GO WITH THE TRAIN?
The train offers access to three intriguing trail routes:
- The heritage trail "Vratitsa" - it leads to the historic Vrattsata fortress, offering a glimpse into Vratsa's ancient history.
- The captivating tourist trail "Vrattsata pass - Ledenika Cave" - well-marked and perfect for family hikes with children. It boasts pleasant resting spots, including springs, picnic meadows, and scenic views of Vratsa.
- "Borov Kamak" trail - one of the most picturesque and appealing eco trails in the country. It commences at the other end of the village, approximately 3 km (45 mins by walk) from the final train stop.

Operating schedule:
- Thursday & Friday: 17:00-20:00 h.
- Saturday & Sunday: 10:00-13:00 and 17:00-20:00 h.
- Public holidays: 10:00-13:00 and 17:00-20:00 h.
- The train departs every hour on the hour with a minimum of 5 adult passengers.
The journey from start to finish takes approximately 30 minutes. The charming train accommodates up to 40 passengers. Ticket prices are as follows: BGN 5 for adults, BGN 4 for scholars, students and pensioners, BGN 3 for children aged 4 to 7, while children up to 3 years old travel for free.
*The train can also be rented for the entire route or individual trips, with the following rates:
- up to 10 km - BGN 100.
- up to 20 km - BGN 180.
- up to 30 km - BGN 250.
